Noxious Weeds Day - Every July

Dozens of volunteers enthusiastically pitch in each year to rid the Kaslo River Trail of invasive plant species like spotted knapweed before they start flowering.

This event is organized by Sheila Roberts and was sponsored in 2008 by the Central Kootenay Invasive Plant Committee.

May Days Variety Show - May 2009

More than 100 people enjoyed Schuhplattler Verein Enzian, an Austrian Bavarian folk dancing troupe during Kaslo's May Days festival. Out-of-province and local talent combined to provide an afternoon of entertainment and surprises. Six different groups and individuals delighted the audience with talent ranging from classical guitar to ethnic dancing. Performers donated their time to this fundraiser as proceeds went toward the 5th Street Suspension Bridge.

Winter Solstice Celebration - December 2008

More than 150 people enjoyed hot chocolate and live music around 2 fire pits while admiring the festively lit Kaslo River Trail bridge. The bridge was adorned with 34 strands of decorative lights and illuminated from Dec 21st until early January.

School Social Responsibility - September 2008

28 students from J.V. Humphries helped gravel the new Lakeside trail and much fun was had by all.

This event was done in co-operation with J.V. Humphries School.
